Horror

In this section, I will explain to you about horror games, and why they are bad for you spiritually and mentally, but first let’s define horror.

Horror is defined as an intense feeling of fear, shock, or disgust.  Some synonyms are terror, fear, fright, alarm, panic.

Horror games are designed to instill fear into its players. The Holy Bible talks about fear:

2 Timothy 1:7 (ERV): “The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control.”

So if Jesus Christ does not make us fearful, who does?  The only answer is Satan causes fear in the human heart. So logically if Satan causes fear, then anything that purposely promotes fear (e.g. horror games) should be avoided.

One element in horror games are zombies. A Zombie is said to be a corpse that is revived by witchcraft, especially in certain African and Caribbean religions.  It has synonyms in words like “living dead”, “undead”, “walking dead”, and “soul-less corpse”.

Horror games also will mess with your mind. You’ll probably have trouble sleeping at night. You probably won’t be thinking positively or clearly.

You might even become “immune” to horror, to the point where you are not bothered by real-life “horror” situations (e.g. someone being killed).

Unfortunately you may get to the point where you actually condone horrific actions committed by wicked people. Not saying that it would happen, but it certainly is not out of the realm of possibility.
